North Yarmouth’s True finishes second in 5,000-meter run at London Grand Prix

Ben True of North Yarmouth placed second to Australian Craig Mottram in the Aviva London Grand Prix 5,000-meter race Friday at the Crystal Palace.

True’s time of 13 minutes, 28.21 seconds fell short of the Olympic ‘A’ qualifying standard of 13:20. Mottram won the race in 13:23.97.

Olympic champion Dayron Robles set a stadium record of 13.04 seconds to win the 110-meter hurdles. American David Oliver finished third.
