NEW FACES

• Steven Falco joined Macdonald Page & Co. LLC as a staff accountant in their Augusta office. Earlier this year, Falco, of Waterville, graduated from Thomas College with a degree in accounting and a master’s in business administration. He previously worked at the Sugarloaf Golf Club. 

Katie Hoskins was hired at Oxford Networks as an inside sales representative. Hoskins is responsible for assisting the sales team with identifying prospective customers, sales support services, and assisting with new sales initiatives. She recently worked as the program assistant for the Mid Maine Chamber of Commerce. 

Robert H. Farnham joined Willis of Northern New England Inc. as an employee benefits account executive. Farnham, of Falmouth, has more than 20 years of experience in the industry. He previously helped a local health plan develop a cost containment program for the commercial market. 

Daniel P. Thornton joined People’s United Bank as a senior vice president and senior lender in commercial banking. Thornton previously worked at TD Bank in Portland for 27 years.

Molly Gray of South Thomaston joined the team as an account executive and marketing researcher. She is also a Realtor and has extensive experience in business marketing.

Kristen Bridge of Camden joined the company as an intern focusing on writing and marketing research. She is an honor student at St. Anselm in New Hampshire studying English.

Eileen Wilkinson of Rockland was hired as an online marketing strategist. She is a writer and consultant with experience in marketing.

Kelsey Curtis of Bangor was hired as a marketing researcher and strategist. She has a degree in business marketing from the University of Maine.

Jeremy Cote of Bangor was hired as a marketing researcher. He is currently pursuing his MBA in marketing at Husson University. He has experience in running small businesses.

Verna Werlla of Boothbay Harbor was hired as a marketing researcher and is studying business writing, computer science and online marketing.

Laurie Trifoso of Bangor was hired as a market researcher. She has extensive experience in marketing and will focus on creating a presence in the Bangor market.

Benjamin B. Willauer joined Ram Trust Services as a portfolio manager. Willauer was previously a financial adviser for Charter Oak Capital Management in Portland. 

Erika Savona joined the commercial lines team at Patriot Insurance Co. in Yarmouth as a senior underwriter. Savona has several years of underwriting experience. 

Mike Ennamorati joined the sales team at Lash Realty Group in Waldoboro. Ennamorati is a 2010 graduate of the Whittemore School of Business and Economics at the University of New Hampshire, where he earned a degree in financial and managerial economics. 

Jennifer Baldwin was named assistant director of institutional advancement at Cheverus High School. Baldwin, of Cape Elizabeth, was previously with Mercy Health System of Maine. She has more than 10 years of development and fundraising experience. 

Dennis Meehan joined the Portland Regional Chamber as director of member services. Meehan, of York, was previously with the Maine Red Claws. He also worked for various minor league baseball teams in New Hampshire, Connecticut and for the Portland Sea Dogs.

RC Lations joined Hall Internet Marketing as a CMS developer. Lations has a diverse background in music, photography, marketing and social media. He was formerly at a large Boston nonprofit in its social media department. 

PROMOTIONS

Bonita L. Pothier was named Key@Work relationship manager at KeyBank. Pothier, of Biddeford, was previously the manager of Key’s Biddeford branch. Prior to joining Key in 2004, she was director for Saco Spirit.

Ethan Boxer-Macomber and Lori Doustou were promoted at Avesta Housing.

Boxer-Macomber was promoted to director of acquisitions and assets. He joined Avesta Housing in 2006 and is now responsible for directing the acquisition of existing affordable housing developments.

Doustou was promoted to director of administration at Avesta Housing. She has been with the agency for 15 years, most recently as administrative manager.

Alyssa Rolerson was promoted to online marketing strategist and research manager at Dream Local. 

Katie L. Staples was promoted to portfolio loan officer manager at TD Bank in Portland. Staples, of Gorham, is a vice president at TD Bank. She will be responsible for managing all portfolio loan officers in the workout department from Florida to Maine. She has 11 years of banking experience. She joined TD Bank in 2008 as a credit analyst, and most recently served as a portfolio loan officer. 

Charles K. Leadbetter was promoted to a principal at BerryDunn, CPAs and Management Consultants. Leadbetter, of Cape Elizabeth, has worked in the consulting field for more than 12 years. He was hired at BerryDunn in 1993. For the past 10 years or so, he has focused on state government clients. In his new role, he will be leading the firm’s government consulting group’s state government practice area. 

GENERAL

New England Rehabilitation Hospital of Portland has achieved a Joint Commission Disease Specific Certification for amputee rehabilitation. It’s the only acute rehabilitation hospital in New England to have the certification and the second in the country. 

Dr. Robert R. Sholl announced his retirement recently from Wellspring Health Center in Biddeford. He will be closing his practice in Biddeford, effective Sept. 30. Copies of medical records are being processed in order of request.

Sholl spent the past 34 years practicing family medicine. He plans to open a consulting medical office with a focus on whole person preventive health care for all ages using the Functional Medicine approach.

John Lemieux has opened a general law practice at 12 Revere St. in Portland focusing on civil litigation including family law, probate law, property and business disputes, as well as guardian and mediation services. Lemieux previously practiced at Desmond Rand in Westbrook. 

The Rotary Club of Portland recently announced its new slate of officers: John F. Carr was named president; Cyrus Y. Hagge was named first vice president; John F. Marr was named second vice president; Loretta C. Rowe was named secretary; George W. Crockett was named treasurer; Bowen T. Depke was named sergeant-at-arms. 

John Hughes, a financial adviser with Ameriprise Financial in Scarborough, qualified to attend the 2011 Circle of Success conference in Montreal, Canada. To earn this achievement, Hughes established himself as one of the company’s top producers. 

AWARDS

William S. Harwood, an attorney with Verrill Dana, was honored by the Maine State Bar Association with the Volunteer Lawyers Project Director’s Award. Harwood received the award for his commitment to offering pro bono legal services and increasing Mainers’ access to legal aid.

TransCanada’s Kibby Wind Power Project in Eustis was recognized with an Outstanding Environmental — Energy Achievement Award. The 132-megawatt facility was completed in November. TransCanada was recognized for its commitment to environmental stewardship in the development, design and construction of the project, which also led to it becoming the first company to be certified under the U.S.-based Sustainable Forestry Initiative. 

Seven employees at Camden National Corp. were recognized for their commitment to the company and its customers, shareholders, communities and employees:

Jessica Day, a customer sales and service consultant in Damariscotta, received the commitment to the customer award.

Cathy Lawrence, a senior staff accountant, was presented with the commitment to the shareholder award.

Jim Carignan, a commercial portfolio manager in the Bank’s Portland office, was given the commitment to internal service award.

Bill Burch, a senior loan servicing specialist, was honored with the commitment to the employee award.

Stacy Giansiracusa, a customer assistance center supervisor, received the commitment to core values award.
