PORTLAND — A price-monitoring website says average retail gasoline prices in Maine have fallen 3.3 cents per gallon in the past week to $3.79 per gallon.
MaineGasPrices.com says Sunday’s average was still $1.02 per gallon higher than it was the same day a year ago, and 10.2 cents higher than a month ago.
Sunday’s average price in Maine also compares with the national figure, which has fallen 3.7 cents per gallon in the last week to $3.66.
The website is closely following declines in the price of crude oil and gasoline futures, which are expected to have an impact on pump prices in the upcoming week.
