BROWNVILLE — Police in Maine have charged a 60-year-old man with drunken driving after he allegedly struck a woman while doing spinouts on a golf cart.
Police say Michael Salisbury, of Canaan, was riding his golf cart Saturday at a home in Brownville, where a musical outing was being held.
Brownville Police Chief Nick Clukey told the Bangor Daily News that Salisbury struck the woman while doing spinouts, leaving her with cuts and bruises. She was taken by ambulance to a Dover-Foxcroft hospital, where she was treated and released.
After the incident, Salisbury returned to his camper down the road, where officers found him passed out in the yard. He was arrested for operating an all-terrain vehicle while under the influence and failure to report an ATV accident.
