FRENCHBORO — The small island village of Frenchboro is serving up Maine’s signature seafood for the 50th annual Frenchboro Lobster Festival.

Today’s festival is set on Long Island about eight miles off Mount Desert Island.

Set on the banks of Lunt Harbor, the festival dates back to 1962. It features a menu that includes lobster, hot dogs, corn on the cob, chicken salad and homemade pies. Festival-goers can also listen to music, stroll the village roads or hike the island’s miles of scenic shoreline trails.
