LEBANON — A veteran skydiver who has jumped from planes 3,500 times was taken to a Boston hospital after a skydiving accident in southern Maine.

The 34-year-old skydiver, who was not identified, landed Monday in a cow pasture in Lebanon. He was taken to Frisbie Memorial Hospital before being airlifted to Boston via Boston Med Flight.

Assistant Rescue Chief Jason Cole in Lebanon told Foster’s Daily Democrat that the man’s injuries were considered serious.

The man had been skydiving with Sky Dive New England, which is located in Lebanon. Cole said the man’s parachute opened and was in good working condition.
