PORTLAND — A sidewalk arts show will block traffic on part of Congress Street through most of the day today.

The Sidewalk Art Festival is happening downtown until 4 p.m. The professionally-judged show features artists from Maine, New Hampshire and states on the East Coast.

With part of Congress Street closed between High and Preble streets, attendees can enjoy the artwork free of motor vehicle traffic.
