The gallery Wallwork, 67 Pascal Ave., Rockport, presents a solo show of paintings by Waldoboro artist Scott Davis through Oct. 1. Davis lived and worked in New York City before moving to Maine in 1993.

His work is included in the collections of the Guggenheim Museum, Portland Museum of Art, Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego, Williams College Museum of Art, Colby College Museum and the Farnsworth Art Museum. He has received shows at the Center for Maine Contemporary Art, the Nancy Margolis Gallery in New York City and the Wenger Gallery in Los Angeles, among others.

Davis taught painting and drawing at the School of Visual Arts in New York City, and now lives and works in a storefront studio in Waldoboro. Gallery hours are noon to 6 p.m. Monday to Saturday.
