An Auburn man was shot in the buttocks early this morning at a Lewiston home.
Lewiston Police responded to a report of a couple of gunshots heard around 2 a.m. When police arrived at 1361 Sabattus St., Sgt. David St.Pierre said they found that Wayne Powell, 33, of Auburn had been shot. He was transported to Central Maine Medical Center, but his injuries are believed to be non-life threatening, St.Pierre said.
Detectives are currently investigating the incident. St.Pierre said there is a possible suspect at this time, but no arrests have been made.
