The Southern Maine Raging Bulls, a semipro football team, will play a home game at Fitzpatrick Stadium at 2 p.m. today. Tickets are $5 and spectators will receive a free admission by bringing a noisemaker.

The Maine RipTide ASA girls’ fast-pitch softball club will be holding tryouts for the 2012 season: U10, U12, U14, U16 and U18 at 9-11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 10, at the Greely Road Field, 164 Greely Rd., Cumberland. Rockland Community Sailing’s high school team is hosting a fall meeting for students interested in joining. The meeting is at 7 p.m. Thursday, in The Apprenticeshop office building, 643 Main St., Rockland. Midcoast-area students in grades 7-12 and their parents are invited to attend to learn about high school sailing activities. The team practices in Rockland Harbor on 14-foot fiberglass 420 dinghies during spring and fall seasons. Fall practices are Tuesdays and Thursdays from Sept. 13 through Oct. 20.
