Portland police are investigating an apparent stabbing that occurred on Forest Avenue near Baxter Woods today.
A man was dropped off at Brighton FirstCare with what appeared to be a serious stab wound in the neck. Based on a brief description from a witness, police were trying to locate the scene of the attack, using police dog to search the area.
The man was dropped off at the hospital at 2:15 p.m. and was taken in for surgery.
