The Libby-Mitchell American Legion baseball team will hold a tryout for 2012 teams from 7 to 10 a.m. Sunday at Hadlock Field in Portland. Players from Scarborough and Cape Elizabeth are eligible to try out. Players should bring spikes, glove and hat. Players must bring an original copy of a birth certificate and be prepared to fill out a registration form. The head coach is Glenn Reeves. The deadline to sign up is today. The Pine Cone Open tennis tournament will be held this weekend at Deering High. Competition will be held in men’s singles and doubles.
