PORTLAND – Raechel Allen scored two goals Thursday to lead Portland to a 4-1 victory against South Portland in a Southern Maine Activities Association field hockey game.

Cat Flaherty of Portland (1-2) scored the first goal after just 21 seconds. Leanne Reichert added a goal for the Bulldogs, sandwiched between the two Allen goals.

Brianna Bower scored for South Portland (0-3) with 5:23 left in the first half — the final goal of the game.

BIDDEFORD 2, DEERING 2: Lauren Blinsinger had a goal and an assist as the Rams (0-2-1) and Tigers (0-2-1) tied at Portland.

Jen Kimborowicz scored first for Biddeford on a penalty stroke in the first half. Blinsinger answered shortly after, then found Tori Adams to put Deering ahead, 2-1.

Alex Quigley tied it with 14 minutes left in regulation.

BELFAST 3, WINSLOW 1: Maddy Cummings broke a 1-1 tie 35 seconds into the second half as the Lions (1-0-1) downed the Black Raiders (3-1) at Belfast.

Ally James of Belfast and Michelle Greene of Winslow traded first-half goals. Brooklyn Curry added the last goal for the Lions with 16:04 to play.

Abbi Lutz made 10 saves for the Black Raiders.

LAKE REGION 6, YARMOUTH 0: Freshman Bridgette Letarte had two goals as the Lakers (2-1) downed the Clippers (1-1-1) at Naples.

Chelcie Murch, Tori Girardin, Liz Schreiber and Meghan Skarbinski also scored.

CAMDEN HILLS 3, MAINE CENTRAL INSTITUTE 2: Shani Morris scored twice, and Alice Flint had a goal and two assists to lead the Windjammers (2-1) past the Huskies (1-1-1) at Rockport.

Flint broke a 1-1 tie at 8:58 of the second half and Morris made it 3-1 less than five minutes later.

Carolyn Newhouse had a goal and an assist for MCI. Michaela George also scored.

Zia Sulick of Camden Hills and Sarah Bennett of MCI each made seven saves.

SCARBOROUGH 3, WESTBROOK 0: Grace Whalen, Rachel Wallace and Katie Granzier scored as the Red Storm (3-0) downed the Blue Blazes (2-1) at Westbrook.

Shannon Hicks stopped five shots for Scarborough.

Maryssa Arsenault made six saves for Westbrook.

SOCCER

FREEPORT 2, POLAND 0: Jessica Hench and Joselyn Davee scored, and Abby Roney made four saves as the Falcons (2-1) shut out the Knights (0-3) at Freeport.

Hench put in a shot from about 18 yards in the 11th minute. Ashley Richardson then got the ball to Davee, who finished it 3:16 before the end of the half.

Brittina Maheux made seven saves for Poland.

LAKE REGION 0, FRYEBURG ACADEMY 0: Emily Bartlett finished with 15 saves for the Lakers (1-1-1) and Maggie McConkey had 10 for the Raiders (0-0-2) at Fryeburg.

MORSE 5, MAINE CENTRAL INSTITUTE 3: Tori Field scored three goals and Katie Henrikson added two as Morse (2-0) downed Maine Central Institute (1-1) at Pittsfield.

MEDOMAK VALLEY 4, OAK HILL 0: Alanna Vose scored in each half as Medomak Valley (1-1) shut out Oak Hill (1-1) at Waldoboro.

Sam Griffin started the scoring at 34 minutes on a corner kick. Maria Ennamorti’s unassisted goal with 1:11 left ended the scoring.

MARANACOOK 1, CAMDEN HILLS 1: Cailland Sweeting gave Camden Hills (1-0-1) the lead with 8:40 left in the first half from Kristina Alex, and Katelyn MacGregor tied it for Maranacook (0-1-1) with 20:30 left in regulation at Rockport.

Elizabeth D’Angelo had 10 saves for Maranacook. Lindsay Bumbalo stopped four shots for the Windjammers.

THORNTON ACADEMY 5, KENNEBUNK 0: Jaime Durie had three goals and an assist as the Golden Trojans (2-0) shut out the Rams (1-1) at Kennebunk.

Tori Daigle added a goal and an assist, and Chrissy Remmes also scored.

Emily Richard had seven saves for the shutout. Jen Richardson made 10 saves for Kennebunk.

WISCASSET 3, WINTHROP 1: Shania Marr opened the second half with two quick goals to break a 1-1 tie and Wiscasset (2-0) held on at home to defeat Winthrop (0-2).

Winthrop took the lead midway through the first half on a penalty kick by Lauren Selwood. Miranda McIntire tied it with a header off Sarah Hanley’s corner kick. McIntire also set up both of Marr’s goals in the second half.

CAPE ELIZABETH 2, YORK 1: Addie Wood scored with 12 minutes remaining to lift the Capers (3-0) over the Wildcats (2-1) at York.

After Addy LaBonte gave York a 1-0 lead from Kayla Swasey after seven minutes, Melanie Vangel tied it with 17 minutes left in the half.

GORHAM 3, YARMOUTH 0: Samantha Robinson served 10 aces to lead Gorham to a victory at Yarmouth, 25-11, 25-16 and 25-10.

YARMOUTH 3, CAPE ELIZABETH 0: Morgan Cahill had 15 service points with 10 kills and four aces as the Clippers (1-2) beat the Capers (0-4) at Yarmouth, 25-20, 25-13 and 25-20.
