1. Falmouth: The Yachtsmen move to Class A in golf and are the team to beat in the SMAA. Falmouth has four of its top six returnees from the team that won the Class B state title. 

2. Cheverus: The Stags may lack a standout, but golf matches are won with depth, and Cheverus appears to have that. The Stags should return to the states. 

3. Scarborough: Another team with depth. The Red Storm have three solid players in Brendan Hall, Dan Slavin and Zach Pelczar. They will need to develop two more players

4. Gorham: The Rams have four players returning who played on the state Class A championship team. The depth is there to do well again.

5. Thornton: The Golden Trojans have more experience than last year’s 5-5 team. The team is used to playing in the state tournament and winning it.
