PORTLAND – Erin Smith scored on a through pass from Shannon Folan after six minutes Wednesday night and Gorham went on to a 1-0 victory against Deering in a Southern Maine Activities Association girls’ soccer game.

Sarah Perkins and Marissa Roberts finished with three saves each for Gorham (3-0). LeeAnn Downs had 13 for Deering (3-1).

KENNEBUNK 5, BONNY EAGLE 4: Alex Leonardi scored three goals to lead the Rams (2-2) over the Scots (0-3) at Standish.

After Marley Harmon, Riley Turk and Andrea Pelayo scored to give Bonny Eagle a 3-0 lead, Alyssa Weigle answered with one second remaining in the half, then again early in the second half. Sam Campobasso also scored for the Scots.

CHEVERUS 2, NOBLE 0: Sadie Lyons had a goal and assisted Victoria Nappi to lead the Stags (3-0) over the Knights (2-1) at Portland.

Mikayla Mayberry had three saves for Cheverus. Jessica Bickford stopped 12 shots for Noble.

FRYEBURG ACADEMY 3, YARMOUTH 2: Sylvia Brooks scored the winner from the top of the 18 with about six minutes left at Fryeburg as the Raiders (1-1-2) defeated the Clippers (0-4) for the first time in 10 years.

Carla Tripp and Nikki Shivers also scored, and Maggie McConkey made 37 saves for Fryeburg.

CAPE ELIZABETH 1, FALMOUTH 1: Melanie Vangel scored for the Capers (3-0-1) in the first half and Annie Criscione for the Yachtsmen (3-0-1) in the second at Falmouth.

Lizzy Raftice of Cape Elizabeth and Caitlin Bucksbaum of Falmouth assisted.

GRAY-NEW GLOUCESTER 1, WELLS 0: Haylee Cote headed in a service from Ashley Moreau at 17:31 of the second half and Sammie Wilkins made six saves as the Patriots (2-1-1) got by the Warriors (0-5) at Gray.

Kaitlyn Tufts made six saves for Wells.

HALL-DALE 4, BOOTHBAY REGION 0: Maura Stottler and Kristina Buck each had a goal and an assist as the Bulldogs (2-2) defeated the Seahawks (0-4) at Farmingdale.

LAKE REGION 2, POLAND 1: Jordan Turner scored from Aly Kepler with 23 minutes remaining to lift the Lakers (2-2-1) over the Knights (1-4) at Naples.

Sydney Hancock of Lake Region started the scoring seven minutes in from Jacqui Black. Emma Turton answered with 12 minutes left in the half.

OLD ORCHARD BEACH 2, TRAIP ACADEMY 0: Amy Twohig scored twice to lead the Seagulls (3-1) over the Rangers (2-1) at Old Orchard Beach.

Jaclyn MacDonald had six saves for Old Orchard. Eileen Macomber stopped 13 shots for Traip.

SANFORD 5, MARSHWOOD 0: Allison Legere scored three goals to lead the Redskins (4-0) over the Hawks (1-3) at Sanford.

Hannah Kallis added a goal and three assists, and Taylor Littlefield also scored.

THORNTON ACADEMY 9, MASSABESIC 0: Camilla Olsson had three goals and an assist, and Amanda Arnold added two goals and two assists to lead the Golden Trojans (3-1) past the Mustangs (1-2) at Saco.

Jamie Durie had a goal and two assists, and Carly McKenna also provided two assists. Emily Richard made five saves for the shutout.

WAYNFLETE 8, NORTH YARMOUTH ACADEMY 0: Ella Millard had four goals and an assist to lead the Flyers (2-1) over the Panthers (0-4) at Portland.

Becky Smith added two goals. Ellen Silk, Sadie Cole and Walker Foehl also scored.

WINDHAM 7, BIDDEFORD 0: Jordan Symonds and Jenna Soucy scored two goals apiece as the Eagles (3-0) topped Biddeford (1-3) at Windham.

Mary Green added a goal and an assist, and Melissa Morton and Lauren Shoemaker also scored.

YORK 3, FREEPORT 0: Kayla Swasey had two goals and an assist as the Wildcats (3-2) shut out Freeport (3-2) at York.

Swasey scored her first goal off an indirect kick with 10 minutes left in the half, then converted an Abby Goodrich assist six minutes after the break. Swasey sent a cross inside to Hannah Daigneault for the final score.

CHEVERUS 1, MASSABESIC 0: Staci Swallow scored from Emily Rodrigue with three minutes left in overtime to lift the Stags (6-0) over the Mustangs (5-1) at Portland.

DEERING 2, MCAULEY 0: Amanda LeMoult and Lauren Blinsinger scored, both from Tori Adams, as the Rams (1-4-1) defeated the visiting Lions (2-4) at Portland.

MARSHWOOD 4, NOBLE 0: Hailey Bruno-Moulton and Natalia Batchelder had a goal and an assist each as Marshwood (5-1) shut out Noble (0-4) at South Berwick.

KENNEBUNK 2, SOUTH PORTLAND 1: Kennebunk (4-2) took a 2-0 lead in the first half and held off the Red Riots (0-5) at South Portland.

Emily Vieria and Taylor Radomski scored for the Rams. Elizabeth Albert answered for South Portland.
