BAR HARBOR — Maine’s College of the Atlantic is getting a $1 million grant to expand its work in sustainable agriculture.
The Bar Harbor college says the grant money will go toward scholarships for rural Maine and New England students interested in sustainable agriculture. The funding comes from the Partridge Foundation, a John and Polly Guth Charitable Fund.
College President Darron Collins said the grant will expand the college’s sustainable agriculture program and the works of its organic farm and orchard on Mount Desert Island.
