NORTH DARTMOUTH, Mass. – Linebacker Brock Lawrence intercepted a pass late in the fourth quarter and Maine Maritime ran out the clock for a 21-13 victory Saturday over UMass-Dartmouth at Cressy Field.

The Corsairs (1-2) built a 13-7 lead late in the first half, scoring twice within 4:14 late in the second quarter. After the second touchdown, Nick Bourassa ran back the ensuing kickoff 39 yards to the Mariners’ 44, then scored on a 46-yard run with 39 seconds left in the half. Mike Brennan’s PAT kick gave Maine Maritime a 14-13 lead.

Bourassa capped a 12-play, 97-yard drive in the third quarter with a 6-yard run as the Mariners took a 21-13 lead.

Ian Champeon rushed 18 times for 199 yards for Maine Maritime. Bourassa gained 100 yards in nine carries, caught a pass for 20 yards and returned three kickoffs for 100 yards.

DUKE 20, BOSTON COLLEGE 19: Sean Renfree tied a school record with 40 completions and scored the go-ahead touchdown on a 1-yard run with just under 10 minutes left to lead visiting Duke (1-2, 1-0 ACC) over Boston College (0-3, 0-1).

The Eagles had chance to win, but Nate Freese’s 23-yard field-goal attempt hit the left upright and bounced back with 43 seconds left.

Renfree threw 52 times for 359 yards and two touchdowns to Conner Vernon. He tied the Duke record of 40 completions set by Thaddeus Lewis in 2009 against North Carolina State.

PENN STATE 14, TEMPLE 10: Michael Zordich scored on a 1-yard run with 2:42 left as Penn State (2-1) stretched its winning streak against Temple (2-1) to 29 straight games with a victory at Philadelphia.

IOWA 31, PITTSBURGH 27: James Vandenberg threw three touchdown passes in the fourth quarter and Iowa (2-1) rallied from a 17-point deficit with just over 12 minutes left to stun visiting Pittsburgh (2-1).

HOLY CROSS 30, HARVARD 22: Andrew Zitnik returned an interception 97 yards to cap a comeback by Holy Cross (2-1) against Harvard (0-1) at Worcester, Mass.

FORDHAM 21, COLUMBIA 14: Nick Womack had a 100-yard interception return as Fordham (1-1) rallied to beat Columbia (0-1) at New York.

Columbia led 7-0 and was driving before Womack’s interception sparked 21 unanswered points by the Rams.

DARTMOUTH 37, COLGATE 20: Nick Schwieger rushed for two touchdowns to lead Dartmouth (1-0) over Colgate (1-2) at Hanover, N.H.
