PORTLAND – Kevin Kanakan scored in each half Saturday to help Waynflete earn a 5-2 victory against Richmond in a nonconference schoolboy soccer game at Fore River Field.

Peabo Knoth and Clancy Mitchell scored in the first half to help Waynflete (3-0-1) take a 3-0 lead at the break.

Sam Lorbeski and Peter Lorbeski scored for Richmond (2-2-1), and William Cleaves and Kanakan answered for the Flyers in the second half. Knoth also had two assists.

A.R. GOULD 8, ACADIA CHRISTIAN 0: Thomas Travis scored three goals to lead the Bears (2-3) over the Seahawks (0-4) at South Portland.

Tyler Yeaton, Alex Pedroza, Moses Losuk, Isaiha Mokeme and Cameron Cartier also scored. Eric Sawyer stopped four shots for the shutout.

SCARBOROUGH 4, CHEVERUS 0: Sam Cekada and Dan Ornstein scored first-half goals, and Austin Downing and John Wheeler added goals in the second as the Red Storm (4-0-1) shut out the Stags (3-1) at Portland.

Pat Stanton and Ben Sirois combined on five saves for the shutout. Charlie Mull made eight saves for Cheverus.

GRAY-NEW GLOUCESTER 2, POLAND 0: Will Bartlett scored both goals for the Patriots (4-1) against the Knights (1-5) at Gray.

Craig Moreau assisted on Bartlett’s second goal and Spencer Harriman made four saves for the shutout.

Dillon Douglas saved 12 shots for Poland.

MT. VIEW 3, BELFAST 0: Aaron Elkins scored twice as the Mustangs (4-0) beat the Lions (3-2) at Thorndike.

Zoli Kertesz added a goal and an assist.

Sam Kulikowski had eight saves for Belfast.

GREATER PORTLAND CHRISTIAN 7, ISLESBORO 1: Adam Simpson had five goals and an assist to lead the Lions (2-3) past the Eagles (0-3) at Woolwich.

Ryan Waugh chipped in three assists for Greater Portland Christian.

MAINE CENTRAL INSTITUTE 2, NOKOMIS 1: Chris Bourdeau’s goal with less than two minutes remaining lifted the Huskies (2-3) over Nokomis (0-5) at Pittsfield.

Aaron Park scored for MCI in the first half before Lucas Hayden tied it for Nokomis.

Matt Lessard made eight saves for MCI. Thomas Batchelder had 10 for the Warriors.

MESSALONSKEE 3, LAWRENCE 1: Aiden Calkins scored twice to lead the Eagles (5-1) over Lawrence (2-3) at Oakland.

Jarrod Simpson added an unassisted goal for Messalonskee. Zach Sutherland stopped eight shots.

Nick Blomerth scored unassisted for Lawrence. Zachary Alley made five saves.

HALL-DALE 5, MOUNTAIN VALLEY 1: Colin Lush scored four goals to lead Hall-Dale (5-0) over the Falcons (1-3-1) at Farmingdale.

Ben Crocker and Spencer Shagoury each had two assists for the Bulldogs, who also got a goal from Kevin Zembroski. Brad Shepherd and Kurt Thiele posted an assist apiece for Hall-Dale, and Zach McNaughton made seven saves.

Josh Rainey scored an unassisted goal and Kyle Gaudin had 17 saves for Mountain Valley.
