FARMINGTON — Maine Poet Laureate Wesley McNair will read his poetry and sign books at the National Book Festival at the National Mall in Washington, D.C., on Saturday and Sunday.
The Library of Congress organizes the National Book Festival. President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama are the honorary chairs. A crowd of more than 150,000 is expected.
McNair is professor emeritus at the University of Maine at Farmington. He was selected as one of five state poets laureate to read at the National Book Festival.
