Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney today announced that several Maine Republicans have endorsed his candidacy.
Among those on the list are Attorney General William Schneider; Peter Cianchette, a former gubernatorial candidate and state legislator; former U.S. Rep. David Emery and Senate Majority Leader Jonathan Courtney, R-Sanford.
In a statement, Schneider said: “He has spent his life turning failing businesses, including the 2002 Winter Olympics, into successful enterprises, and as governor, he balanced the budget without raising taxes.”
Gov. Paul LePage has not announced his choice for the GOP nomination for president, said his spokeswoman, Adrienne Bennett.
