CUMBERLAND CENTER — Mitchel Donovan and Ted Hart had a goal and an assist each to pace the Greely boys’ soccer team in a 3-1 win Tuesday over Freeport at Cumberland.

Hart was able to work the ball out of traffic and found Donovan cutting across the middle for the Rangers’ first goal. Donovan scored with a low shot to the far post with 1:28 left in the first half for a 1-0 lead.

Donovan one-touched the ball to Hart for the second goal, 12 minutes into the second half.

Connor Dietrich scored unassisted for the Falcons to get within one. Paul Witte finished the scoring for Greely on a penalty kick with four minutes left.

Greely improved to 3-4 while Freeport dropped to 3-3-1. 

YORK 5, GRAY-NEW GLOUCESTER 2: Brian Mendoza had two goals and Pierce Twohig had a goal and two assists to lead the Wildcats (5-1-1) over the visiting Patriots (4-2).

CAPE ELIZABETH 2, FRYEBURG 0: Tim Lavallee scored the game-winning goal in the first half for the Capers (3-1-1) in a win over Fryeburg (3-3) at Cape Elizabeth. Adam Haversat added an insurance goal in the second half. 

THORNTON ACADEMY 3, NOBLE 1: Matt LeBlanc scored twice in the first half to give the Golden Trojans (3-2-1) a 2-0 lead against the Knights (1-5) at North Berwick.

Noble cut the deficit to one with a goal by Brandon Vigneault with 21:17 remaining, but Tyler LeBell added Thornton’s insurance goal a minute later.

BRUNSWICK 3, BREWER 0: Mitchell Black provided a goal and an assist as the Dragons (4-1-2) blanked Brewer (0-6), at Brunswick.

Black set up Brunswick’s first goal at 27:53 of the first, scored by Connor Scarponi. Blake Gordon made it 2-0 with 8:39 left in the half off a Chris Bruno pass.

GORHAM 7, BONNY EAGLE 0: Seven players scored for the Rams (4-2) as they outshot the Scots (2-3) 23-3 at Gorham. Kevin Lubelczyk, Mike Lubelczyk, Spence Cowand and Conner Reagan each had a goal and an assist. Drew Hopkins, Chandler Reagan and Kyle Curley also scored.

MARSHWOOD 4, MASSABESIC 1: Jeff Graunke had two goals and an assist as Marshwood (5-1) defeated Massabesic (1-5) at Waterboro. The Hawks scored twice in the first half, both set up by Luke Taylor. The first was scored by Ryder Schumacher while Graunke provided the second.

Graunke teamed up with Alex McLean on both second-half goals for the Hawks.

YARMOUTH 8, LAKE REGION 0: Ryan Maguire scored three goals and freshman Brendon Dioli scored his first two varsity goals as Yarmouth (3-2-1) blanked Lake Region (0-6-0) at Naples.

POLAND 4, WELLS 1: Poland (2-5) had four different players score for a victory over Wells (0-4) at Poland. Jacob Littlefield, Dan Bernier, Logan Nichols and Richard Bryant all scored for the Knights.

PORTLAND 8, BIDDEFORD 0: Guled Hussain-Ali had three goals, Alain Tuyishime added two goals and the Bulldogs (4-1-1) handled the visiting Tigers (0-5).

A.R. GOULD 5, CHOP POINT 2: Moses Losuk scored three goals to lead A.R. Gould (3-3) in a victory over Chop Point (2-2) at South Portland. 

OCEANSIDE 2, MORSE 2: Oceanside tied the match with a penalty kick from Jordan Doutrelvigne with 16 minutes left as Morse (5-1) and Oceanside battled to a tie at Bath.

MEDOMAK VALLEY 2, MCI 1: The Panthers (1-3) scored 30 seconds into the first overtime on their way to a win over the Huskies (0-2-1) at Pittsfield.

MT. ARARAT 2, LAWRENCE 1, 2OT: Jason Tome scored an unassisted goal with 1:42 left in the second overtime as the Eagles (5-0-1) defeated the Bulldogs (3-4) in a KVAC A game at Topsham.
