AUGUSTA — Two judges are among nearly two dozen of Gov. Paul LePage’s nominees for state posts who are facing legislative committee reviews today.

They’re among the scores of other nominees for various state boards, commissions and judgeships who face committee endorsement reviews in advance of next Tuesday’s special legislative session, where they’ll face Senate confirmation votes.

The Judiciary Committee takes up the nominations of District Judge John O’Neil Jr. of Kennebunk for appointment as a Superior Court Justice, and Justice G. Arthur Brennan of York as an active retired Superior Court judge.

Judiciary will also consider nominations to the Commission on Indigent Legal Services, Indian Tribal-State Commission and the state Human Rights Commission.

The labor committee considers nominees to the Unemployment Insurance Commission, housing authority and other boards.
