JAY — Police say a pit bull has been put in quarantine for 10 days after it bit a 6-year-old boy in the face.
Jay police told the Sun Journal of Lewiston that the dog bit the boy Sunday morning after the child got into a fenced-in area on Main Street where the dog was kept. The boy was bitten near the mouth and taken to a hospital for treatment.
Police say it wasn’t known Monday if the dog was up-to-date on its rabies vaccination.
