AUGUSTA — The Maine Army National Guard’s honor guard is being recognized for performing its 7000th funeral honors ceremony for fallen comrades.

State Rep. David Cotta is presenting a legislative acknowledgement in recognition of the guard today. The presentation will take place in the State House Hall of Flags.

Gov. Paul LePage and Maj. Gen. John W. Libby, who heads the Maine National Guard, are scheduled to speak.
