AUBURN — Talking about ghosts and hunting for them are the highlights of the first New England Ghost Conference being held in Maine.

Speakers from all over the region are scheduled for the event on Oct. 29 at the Fireside Inn in Auburn.

The Sun Journal reports among the speakers are Eddita Felt, a psychic and medium from Lisbon who will offer a spooky but practical guide: “Symptoms of the Haunted House or Business.”

Ian Murphy, founder of the Paranormal Research Association of Ireland, now investigates out of Boston. His theme is “Science in the Paranormal.” Jim LaValley, founder of North Shore Paranormal Investigations in Massachusetts, describes himself as a “demonologist-in-training.”

The conference is hosted by Central Maine Paranormal Investigations and includes an out-in-the-field nighttime ghost hunt.
