WESTBROOK – Catherine Flaherty and Raechel Allen scored in the final three minutes of the first half Thursday, and Portland went on to a 2-1 victory against Westbrook in a Southern Maine Activities Association field hockey game.

Ally Lemay scored from Katie Berry to give the Blue Blazes (8-3) the lead at 17:16. Allen set up Flaherty with the tying goal with 2:29 left in the half, then scored the go-ahead goal on a breakaway 40 seconds later.

Rachel Waterhouse had eight saves for the Bulldogs (8-4-1). Maryssa Arsenault stopped six shots for the Blue Blazes.

CHEVERUS 8, MCAULEY 1: Alex Logan and Sarah LaQuerre scored two goals apiece to lead the Stags (11-1) past the visiting Lions (3-9-1) at Portland.

Brooke Flaherty added a goal and an assist. Staci Swallow, Ali Saxton and Julia Lambert also scored for Cheverus.

EDWARD LITTLE 1, MT. ARARAT 0: Courtney Pelletier scored from Jordan Tate in the second half to lift the Red Eddies (5-5-1) over the Eagles (2-6-4) at Topsham.

MASSABESIC 1, BONNY EAGLE 0: Alex Staples scored from Sam Emmons with 3:21 left in overtime to lift the Mustangs (11-1) over the Scots (2-8-2) at Waterboro.

Courtney Picone stopped six shots for the shutout. Brit Brooks had 21 saves for Bonny Eagle.

MT. VIEW 4, CAMDEN HILLS 0: Andrea Smith scored twice from Mercedes Reynolds to help the Mustangs (9-2-1) beat the Windjammers (6-7) at Thorndike.

SCARBOROUGH 5, NOBLE 0: Ellen Walker had three goals, and Maddie Dobecki and Lindsay Dobecki also scored for the Red Storm (12-0-1) against the Knights (1-9-1) at North Berwick.

Nikita Naumowicz made 21 saves for Noble.

BELFAST 4, OCEANSIDE 0: Maddy Cummings and Kristi Osgood each had a goal and an assist to lead the Lions (9-0-3) over the Mariners (7-6) at Rockland.

MARSHWOOD 2, KENNEBUNK 0: Sammy Crosman and Emily Osborne scored as the Hawks (10-3) beat the Rams (5-6) at South Berwick.

Lindsey Poirier assisted on both goals. Jacque Tworkowski made five saves for the shutout and Natalia Bachelder provided strong midfield play.

NORTH YARMOUTH ACADEMY 2, TRAIP ACADEMY 0: Katherine Millett had both goals for the Panthers (9-3) against the Rangers (6-6) at Kittery.

Olivia Madore had an assist on the first goal.

THORNTON ACADEMY 6, BIDDEFORD 0: Lauren Russell scored twice for the Golden Trojans (4-8) and Gabby Capozzi made six saves to shut out the Tigers (2-9-1) at Saco.

Morgan Ouellette-Foss, Morgan Dube, Michele Banville and Carli Legere also scored.

GORHAM 2, WINDHAM 2: Michaela Stresser scored with 3:40 remaining to pull Gorham (4-7-2) even with the Eagles (3-7-2) at Windham.

Molly McVetty scored two goals for Windham, both from Sarah Skvorak.

YARMOUTH 3, NORTH YARMOUTH ACADEMY 0: Mo McNaboe scored in the first half, and Claudia Lockwood and Emma Torres added second-half goals as the Clippers (5-6) downed the visiting Panthers (2-9) at Yarmouth.
