WATERBORO – Ceara Pelletier scored on a penalty kick with 1:30 remaining in the second overtime Saturday to lift Massabesic to a 2-1 victory against Biddeford in a Southern Maine Activities Association schoolgirl soccer game.

Shayna Montpas of Biddeford (2-8-1) broke a scoreless tie after three minutes of the second half. Her goal came after she spent the first half in goal, making six saves.

Kathleen Duffy scored for Massabesic (5-5) with 10 minutes remaining in regulation.

Jenna Roy spelled Montpas after the first half and made nine saves the rest of the way.

Gemma Lundrigan had four saves for the Mustangs. 

OLD ORCHARD BEACH 3, WELLS 0: Amy Twohig had two goals and an assist to lead the Seagulls (7-4) over the Warriors (1-8-2) at Old Orchard Beach.

Miranda Lessard added a goal and Jaclyn MacDonald stopped three shots for the shutout.

BOYS’ SOCCER

SOUTH PORTLAND 2, GORHAM 1: Jack Lano scored from Damjan Draskov in the first half, and Draskov scored from Lano in the second to give the Red Riots (7-2-2) a 2-0 lead against Gorham (7-3) at South Portland.

Kevin Lubelczyk scored on a penalty kick for Gorham with 17 minutes left.

Shawn Shannon of South Portland finished with five saves. Carter Bowers had four saves for the Rams. 

GREELY 1, FALMOUTH 0: Mitchel Donovan scored on a header off a Gavin Collins corner kick after 13 minutes, and the Rangers (6-5-1) went on to beat the Yachtsmen (7-2-1) at Cumberland.

Elijah Leverett made 10 saves for the shutout and Will McAdoo played a strong game at midfield for the Rangers.

Will D’Agostino finished with 12 saves for Falmouth. 

SACOPEE VALLEY 2, POLAND 0: Mike Anderson scored on a 40-yard shot midway through the second half as the Hawks (9-1-2) downed Poland (2-9) at South Hiram.

Nate Foster scored from Travis Trueworthy with two minutes left.

Dillon Douglas made 12 saves for Poland. Mitch Barton had four saves for Sacopee.

SANFORD 1, WESTBROOK 0: Janelle Cannon scored at 21:50 of the first half and Sanford (10-1-1) beat the Blue Blazes (9-4) at Westbrook.

Sarah Stanley needed one save for the shutout. Maryssa Arsenault stopped five shots for Westbrook. 

WAYNFLETE 4, FREEPORT 1: Merilla Michael scored three goals to lead the Flyers (5-7) past the Falcons (8-5) at Freeport.

Alida Farrell also scored for Waynflete.

Sydney Ambrose answered for Freeport.

Kailina Mills made nine saves for Waynflete. Tallie Martin stopped five shots for the Falcons.

CONY 2, OXFORD HILLS 1: Heather Leet’s goal in the second overtime lifted the Rams (7-5-1) over Oxford Hills (5-6-2) at South Paris.

Alyssa Brochu and Chelsea Begin assisted.

Begin scored Cony’s first goal assisted by Michelle Bolduc. Heather Verrier scored for the Vikings.

Kevie Rodrigue made seven saves for Cony. Abi Egan had 11 saves for Oxford Hills.

FRIDAY’S FIELD HOCKEY

WAYNFLETE 2, POLAND 0: Jo Moore opened the scoring 10 minutes into the game and assisted on a goal by Roz Gray-Bauer 10 minutes later as the Flyers (5-7) beat the Knights (0-12-1) at Poland.

Kailina Mills made five saves to record the shutout for Waynflete.
