PORTLAND — A food-processing company known for its frozen stuffed chicken products says it’s cutting 71 jobs at its Portland processing plant because product lines are being moved to another plant owned by its parent company.

Barber Foods was acquired by AdvancePierre Foods, of Cincinnati, last spring. A few weeks later, the company announced it was laying off 82 workers in Portland.

Barber Foods announced today that its full-cooked product line is being moved to another plant that AdvancePierre Foods owns in Enid, Okla.

WCSH-TV said Barber Foods is giving workers 60 days’ notice and is offering affected employees severance and outplacement support packages.
