The White House “Champions of Change” event Thursday honoring people who “are dedicating their professional lives to closing the justice gap in America” can be viewed via webcast. Among the 16 honorees will be Nan Heald, executive director of Pine Tree Legal Assistance, which has offices throughout the state, including Portland and Augusta.
