SOUTH PORTLAND – Amanda Arnold and Jamie Durie scored twice in the first half Wednesday night and Thornton Academy went on to a 4-0 victory against South Portland in a Southern Maine Activities Association schoolgirl soccer game.

Arnold converted a header from Durie following a free kick in the 10th minute for the Golden Trojans (10-1-1). Durie made it 2-0 by beating goalie Domonique Smith (17 saves) one-on-one in the 24th minute. Camilla Olsson and Meg Hurrell earned assists.

Durie finished another one-on-one after a deflection off a defender in the 29th minute for the third goal, then set up Arnold with 5:42 left in the half.

Emily Richard made nine saves for Thornton against the Red Riots (5-6-1).

CHEVERUS 2, MASSABESIC 0: Sade Lyons scored the first goal and Olivia Mull had the second, both in the first half for the Stags (7-1-2) against the Mustangs (4-5-2) at Portland.

Mikayla Mayberry and M.K. LaFountain combined on the shutout. Gemma Lundrigan stopped 15 shots for Massabesic.

MORSE 8, MEDOMAK VALLEY 1: Bess Howell scored twice and Tori Field had a goal and two assists to help the Shipbuilders (12-0) down the Panthers (6-5-1) at Bath.

FRYEBURG ACADEMY 3, SACOPEE VALLEY 0: Carla Tripp scored three goals and Maggie McConkey made 10 saves as the Raiders (4-6-3) shut out the Hawks (5-7-1) at South Hiram.

Shelly Pellegrino and Emily Colbert combined for nine saves for Sacopee Valley.

RICHMOND 6, GREATER PORTLAND CHRISTIAN 0: Danica Hurley had three goals and an assist to lead the Bobcats (9-1) over Greater Portland Christian (0-11) at South Portland.

Noell Acord added two goals and two assists, Amber Loon also scored, and Lindsy Hoopingarner and Kelsi Obi combined to make two saves.

GARDINER 7, LINCOLN ACADEMY 1: Ally Day scored five goals to lead the Tigers (5-5-2) past Lincoln Academy (0-11) at Gardiner.

HALL-DALE 4, BOOTHBAY REGION 2: Carylanne Wolfington scored two unassisted goals in the second half to lift the Bulldogs (9-4) over the Seahawks (3-10) at Boothbay Harbor.

LEAVITT 2, CAMDEN HILLS 1: Mariah Treadwell scored at 3:35 of overtime to lift the Hornets (6-3-3) over the Windjammers (7-3-2) at Rockport.

OCEANSIDE 2, NOKOMIS 0: Kim Young and Bethany Berry scored and Kennadi Grover made three saves to lead the Mariners (8-2-2) over the Warriors (8-2-2) at Newport.

BRUNSWICK 1, OXFORD HILLS 0: Becky Champagne put in a cross from Laura Pavitt for the Dragons (11-1) against the Vikings (4-3-4) at South Paris.

KENNEBUNK 8, NOBLE 1: Aley Leonardi had three goals and two assists as the Rams (6-5-1) handled the Knights (4-8) at Kennebunk.

Leonardi has 46 career goals.

WESTBROOK 2, MCAULEY 1: Ally Lemay scored in the second overtime to lift the Blue Blazes (10-4) over the Lions (3-10-1) at Portland.

LuLu Hawkes scored from Katie Dubois in the first half for McAuley. Siobhan Foley tied it for Westbrook from Sarah Hopkins.

SCARBOROUGH 5, KENNEBUNK 0: Senior Shauni Cowan scored her first two career goals and added an assist to lead the Red Storm (13-0-1) past Kennebunk (6-8) at Scarborough.

SOUTH PORTLAND 3, NOBLE 2: Elizabeth Albert had a goal and an assist as the Red Riots (2-14) edged the Knights (1-12-1) at South Portland.

PORTLAND 7, BIDDEFORD 1: Kylie Dalbec had two goals and an assist as the Bulldogs (9-4-1) handled the Tigers (2-11-1) at Portland.

THORNTON ACADEMY 2, BONNY EAGLE 1: Michele Banville converted a penalty stroke with 5:53 remaining to lift the Golden Trojans (6-8) over the Scots (2-10-2) at Standish.

MARSHWOOD 2, MASSABESIC 1: Melinda Sutton scored twice in the first half as the Hawks (11-3) held off the Mustangs (11-3) at Waterboro.
