PERU — A 16-year-old Dixfield girl has died of injuries suffered in a weekend car crash.
Danielle Ranger, who was a junior volunteer firefighter in her town, was flown by helicopter to the Central Maine Medical Center after police said the car she was driving crashed into a tree in the town of Peru on Saturday night.
Ranger died on Sunday.
The accident remains under investigation.
