PORTLAND – The Wayneflete boys’ soccer team had allowed seven goals all season before Monday’s regular season finale with Fryeburg. The Raiders put an end to that defensive dominance and also gave the Flyers their first loss of the season in a 4-0 drubbing.

Milos Mijokov scored twice to lead the Raiders (9-5). Paul Kurnick and Wyatt Andreolli added goals for Fryeburg against a Waynflete, which dropped to 10-1-3.

Fryeburg netminder Paul Dostie had three saves for the shutout.

THORNTON 2, SANFORD 1: Aaron Sinclair scored with 1:04 left in the second overtime period to lift the Trojans (5-6-2) over the Redskins (2-11) at Sanford.

Will Caras put Thornton up 1-0 at the half and Gabe Zimmer tied it for Sanford with 29:34 remaining in regulation.

Chris Roberts had seven saves for Thornton. Bryce Lambert made 16 saves for Sanford.

WINDHAM 2, MASSABESIC 0: Robby Lentine and Robbie Hamilton scored as the Eagles (11-2) bested the Mustangs (3-9) at Windham.

Mitch Hodge and Bryan Soucy had assists.

Massabesic goalie Andrew Wicklund made 10 saves.

POLAND 1, TRAIP ACADEMY 0: Logan Nichols scored the only goal of the game 1:20 into the second half as the Knights (4-10) edged the Rangers (4-10) at Kittery.

Christian Montembeau made four saves. Traip goalie Dillon Douglass stopped 12 shots.

GREATER PORTLAND CHRISTIAN 1, A.R. GOULD 0: Jordan Peters scored 7:40 into the second half to give the visiting Lions (8-6) a victory over the Bears (4-8) at South Portland.

Although A.R. Gould held a significant shots-on-goal advantage, GPCS goalie Topher Woodward made 21 saves to record the shutout. Bears goalie Eric Sawyer had five saves.

MARSHWOOD 5, BONNY EAGLE 1: Five different players found the net as the Hawks (8-4-1) upended the Scots (2-11) at Standish.

Max McCoomb got Marshwood on the board first. After Aaron Hebert answered for Bonny Eagle, Bryan Rawski put the Hawks up for good. Alex McLean, Jeff Graunke and Jeff Hathaway added goals.

Jackson Towle made five saves for the win. Jeff Martin stopped 14 shots for the Scots.

FREEPORT 8, WELLS 1: Parker Matheson, Jack Dawe and Zach Greene scored two goals each to lead the Falcons (5-8-1) past the Warriors (1-12) at Freeport. Brandon Morton had the lone goal for Wells.

GORHAM 6, NOBLE 1: Kevin Lubelczyk had a pair of goals as the Rams (9-3) downed the Knights (4-9) at Gorham.

Mike Lubelczyk, Connor Regan, Chandler Regan, and Kyle Curley rounded out the scoring.

Sean Jackson had the goal for Noble and keeper Drew Martin had 11 saves.

KENNEBUNK 1, WESTBROOK 0: Jacob Jorgensen scored late in the second half to give the Rams (6-4-3) a win over the Blue Blazes (2-9-2) at Westbrook.

Kennebunk keeper John Burns and Westbrook goalie Austin Blake each had seven saves.

YORK 1, YARMOUTH 0: Abby Goodrich’s unassisted goal with 8:53 left was enough to give the Wildcats (10-3-1) a victory over the Clippers (6-8) at York.

York goaltender Carley Lee made four saves for the shutout. Yarmouth goalie Shannon Fallon had 12 saves.

DEERING 0, CHEVERUS 0: It was all defense as the Stags (9-1-3) and the Rams (6-5-2) played to a scoreless draw at Portland.

In an evenly played match, Cheverus goalie Mikayla Mayberry and Deering keeper LeeAnn Downs each made nine saves.

WAYNFLETE 2, FRYEBURG ACADEMY 0: Becky Smith and Walker Foehl each scored in the first half to lead the Flyers (12-2) past the Raiders (4-7-3) at Fryeburg.

Maggie McConkey finished with 14 saves for Fryeburg Academy while Waynflete’s Juliana Harwood, needed seven saves to earn the shutout.

HALL-DALE 4, WINTHROP 0: Carylanne Wolfington had three goals and an assist to lead the Bulldogs (10-4) over the Ramblers (1-13) at Hallowell. Maura Stottler also scored.

LAKE REGION 2, NORTH YARMOUTH ACADEMY 1: Sydney Hancock broke free, dribbled around the goalie and knocked a shot in with two minutes left in double overtime to get the Lakers (6-7-1) past the Panthers (2-12) at Yarmouth.

Jacqui Black scored first for Lake Region. Chloe Leishman got the equalizer for NYA with 14 minutes left in regulation.

Panthers keeper Scout Fischman finished with 13 saves.

GORHAM 5, MCAULEY 0: Kate Hopkins scored two goals while Sarah Perkins, Alexandra Sturtevant and Erin Smith added one goal each to lead the Rams (13-0) past the Lions (2-10-1) at Portland.

WELLS 2, TRAIP ACADEMY 2: Allison Furness notched a pair of goals in the second half for the Warriors (2-9-3) to even the score and help hold the Rangers (4-9-1) to a draw at Wells.

Alora McCuddy and Alli Barrett scored first-half goals for Traip. Eileen Macomber turned away 12 shots for the Rangers. Kaitlyn Tufts had eight saves for Wells.

FIELD HOCKEY

OCEANSIDE 1, WATERVILLE 0: Hannah Plourde scored the game’s lone goal to lift the eighth-ranked Mariners (8-6) over the ninth-ranked Purple Panthers (7-7) in an Eastern Class B Prelim game at Rockland.

Plourde’s goal came with just over four minutes remaining in regulation.
