BANGOR — Police in Bangor say two teenage boys have been charged with allegedly using a BB gun to shoot out windows of passing cars.

Police say three motorists had their rear or side windows shot out Monday while driving on Essex Street. One of the victims said he looked at the houses in the area after his window was shot and saw two teenagers remove a screen from a second-floor window.

Officers later charged a 16- and a 17-year-old boy with misdemeanor criminal mischief.

Police say they’re also investigating a related BB gun assault at the same location involving a school crossing guard and people who were walking to school.
