ORONO — The University of Maine baseabll team plays two top Atlantic Coast Conference teams during the first 10 days of a southern trip, according to the schedule released Thursday.
Maine opens the year Feb. 24 with a three-game series in Clemson, S.C., against the Tigers, who finished second in the Atlantic Division of the ACC.
Maine will then travel to Tallahassee, Fla., for two games against Florida A&M Feb. 28-29, and face Florida State, which was first in the Atlantic Division, for three games March 2-4.
Maine plays its first game in Orono against Husson on April 3, then begins its conference schedule with two doubleheaders at UMBC the following weekend.
