ALFRED — Massabesic High School special education teacher Jessica Pomerleau had at least seven sexual encounters with a 15-year-old student last summer, according to a police affidavit submitted in support of her arrest.

Pomerleau, 36, was arrested on charges of gross sexual assault and aggravated furnishing of scheduled drugs in connection with the alleged relationship. She was placed on leave a couple of weeks earlier when RSU 57 officials learned of teh allegation.

According to the affidavit by York County Sheriff’s Deputy Jason Solomon, a resource officer at the school, the boy said most of the encounters took place in Lyman as well as in the parking lot of the Maine Mall. Most of the encounters took place in her car, but one occurred in her husband’s truck.

 

The affidavit, which was unsealed Friday afternoon by the court, cited cell phone records and messages that linked Pomerleau with the student. Authorities began investigating after the parent of another student reported the alleged releationship to them.

Pomerleau turned herself in after the investigation began. She has denied the allegations through her attorney.

 

Pomerleau was freed on $10,000 cash bail after her arrest. She is scheduled to appear in York County Superior Court on Dec. 22.
