CHELSEA — Emergency responders have called for a LifeFlight of Maine helicopter after responding to a River Road crash.
The accident occurred around 4:20 p.m., today just south of Cheney Road. Reports indicate a woman in her 20s suffered numerous injuries when she crashed her Jeep and was ejected, becoming trapped beneath the vehicle.
Responders from Chelsea and Augusta called for a LifeFlight of Maine helicopter to land on Hallowell Road near the Dondero Road intersection. The helicopter was expected to land around 5 p.m.
Motorists are encouraged to seek an alternative route around the area.
