NEW FACES

Dr. Karin Cole, a fellowship-trained and board-certified surgical oncologist, recently joined Portland Surgical Associates, part of Mercy Health System. Cole, originally from Rockport, recently finished a two-year clinical fellowship in surgical oncology at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.

Alexander Meagher recently joined Kennebunk Savings as assistant vice president and associate general counsel. Meagher worked previously as a judicial law clerk for the Maine Supreme Judicial Court and the Maine Superior Court.

Georgia Gibbons and Cathy Bresinski have joined CD&M Communications.

Gibbons was hired as a copywriter. She has worked for several advertising agencies developing copy and campaign strategies for government, health care, manufacturing and consumer companies.

Bresinski, who joins as an office manager, previously held positions in behavioral health and direct marketing.

Chris Campbell joined Winxnet as a project manager. Campbell was previously with iBec Creative as a project manager and client relations manager.

Arthur Desjardins joined E.S. Boulos Co., Inc. in Westbrook as electrical construction CAD designer, drafter and job coordinator. Desjardins spent the past 11 years working as an electrical designer and draftsperson for Hewett and Whitney Engineers. He has more than 20 years of experience in the industry.

Corie F. Drake joined Fluid Imaging Technologies, Inc. in Yarmouth as a project engineer. Drake was previously a planning engineer at General Dynamics, owner of Bath Iron Works.

Melissa Rock joined Androscoggin Bank as a senior marketing specialist. Rock served for 10 years as director of marketing and communications for Shawnee Peak in Bridgton.

Sean Norton and Emily Yates joined Pine Tree Legal Assistance as fellows.

Norton joined Pine Tree’s Low Income Taxpayer Clinic in Bangor on a two-year public service fellowship from the American Bar Association Section of Taxation.

Yates joined Pine Tree Legal Assistance as a Frank M. Coffin Family Law Fellow. The fellowship, sponsored by the Maine Bar Foundation, was created to reduce the number of families who are unable to obtain legal services.

Becca Shaw was hired as an account manager at KPI Direct, an integrated direct marketing and brand management agency. Shaw was previously director of sales and marketing at Stiefel, a GSK company.

Matthew Spahr joined Diversified Business Communications as a conference attendee sales representative. Spahr was previously with Nassau Broadcasting in Portland.

Patti Camelio joined People’s United Bank, Southern Maine as a senior commercial loan officer and senior vice president. Camelio, of Falmouth, has more than 20 years of experience at TD Bank as a senior vice president for commercial lending. She previously worked for KPMG Peat Marwick as a senior accountant.

William Fuller was named store manager of TD Bank’s branch on Elm Street in Biddeford. Fuller has five years of banking experience. Before joining TD Bank, he served as a relationship manager at Key Bank in Portland.

PROMOTIONS

Annette Lewia was promoted to vice president and banking office manager of Kennebunk Savings’ office in Wells. Lewia has worked there for nearly 30 years.

William J. “Jeff” Lewis was promoted to vice president of alternative markets at Willis of Northern New England, Inc. Lewis joined Willis’ predecessor, Dunlap Corp., in 1992 as a claims adjuster trainee. He then moved to the alternative markets area, where he rose through the ranks from technical specialist to department manager.

Garrand, a marketing and communications firm in Portland, recently received a gold and silver award at the Golden Arrow Awards ceremony at the Maine Public Relations Council Annual Conference.
