Bianca Monteiro, M.D., joined Mercy Health System of Maine as a physician for its pulmonary practice, specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of respiratory diseases.

Monteiro will assist Mercy’s Pulmonary, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine Department in the diagnosis and treatment of pulmonary lung disease and sleep disorders.

William T. Olsen Jr. was named a senior relationship manager and team leader in commercial lending in Portland.

Olsen has 20 years of experience in banking, commercial banking and equipment leasing/finance. Before joining TD Bank, he served in commercial lending positions with Bangor Savings Bank, GE Capital, KeyCorp and Casco Northern/Bank of Boston.

Ryan M. Goding was named the manager of TD Bank’s branches in Farmington.

Goding has 15 years of banking experience. Before joining TD Bank, he served as a team and operations manager at Barclays Bank in Wilton.

Sarah McIntyre recently joined Casco Bay Home Care of Yarmouth as a care manager.

She has 11 years of home health experience in the Portland area.

Darin J. Miller, M.D., was hired as a general surgeon at York Hospital.

Miller was previously with Swedish American Hospital in Rockford, Ill.

The Riverview-Brunswick 21st Century Community Learning Center was recently recognized with the Maine After-school Network’s Exemplary Program Award for its after-school programs for kids.

The foundation’s after-school programs target children and youths ages 6 to 18 years old. Some of those programs include outdoor learning, relaxation, cultural and artistic exploration, physical fitness and community service.

The award is based on statewide nominations and is linked to student progress, parent engagement and positive community impact.

• Malcolm L. Lyons, an attorney with Pierce Atwood LLP, recently received the Maine Trial Lawyers Association Legends Award for his contributions to the Maine legal community and civil justice.

Lyons is a partner in Pierce Atwood’s Litigation Practice Group. He has been with the firm for 34 years.
