PORTLAND — An Old Orchard man accused of passing a counterfeit bill at a Scarborough Dunkin’ Donuts was sentenced in federal court today to more than three years in prison.

Brenton Blais had pleaded guilty to making counterfeit currency in July. Judge. D. Brock Hornby sentenced him to 37 months imprisonment and three years supervised release.

Blais and Jennifer Wormell, also of Old Orchard Beach, were charged in connection with the April incident. The aggravated forgery charge against Wormell was dropped, according to Scarborough police.
