BIDDEFORD – The University of New England’s Biddeford Campus Center will exhibit the paintings of UNE art professor Charles Thompson beginning Thursday and running through mid-January.

Thompson will show his latest series of en plein air paintings, which depict the rugged coastline and dense woods surrounding his Maine homes. He works from start to finish on location.

Thompson has painted plein air for almost 30 years, and has been in more than 100 national group shows and as many as 20 solo shows in galleries and museums throughout the United States and Europe.
