BRUNSWICK — A Portland woman is facing drunken driving charges after her car struck a utility pole and knocked out power to a portion of Brunswick.

Police say 23-year-old Kaitlynn Gatchell struck the pole just before 3 a.m. on Sunday on Pleasant Street.

She was charged with operating under the influence. No other vehicles were involved.

The road was closed for about three hours as utility crews from Central Maine Power and communications companies repaired the damage.
