SOUTH ORANGE, N.J. – Justin Leisenheimer singled home Tyler Patzalek with two outs in the bottom of the 11th inning Friday to lift Maine to a 3-2 baseball win over the New Jersey Institute in the Seton Hall Strike Out Cancer tournament.

Mike Connolly struck out three and allowed one hit in three innings of relief to earn the win for the Black Bears (6-8). Steve Perakslis started, and allowed two runs on seven hits in eight innings.

Patzalek and Alex Calbick each hit an RBI single to give Maine a 2-1 lead in the bottom of the first. Matt Weckerle tied it with an RBI single in the third.

ST. JOSEPH’S 8, KEENE STATE 2: Alex Markakis had two hits and three RBI to help the Monks (7-1) beat the Owls (7-5) at Winter Haven, Fla.

Sam Butts added three hits and scored two runs for St. Joseph’s, which led 5-1 after three innings.

Chad Rafferty allowed two runs (one earned) on three hits in seven innings.

ST. JOSEPH’S 11, MCLA 2: Lindsay Moore and Kim Jordan each drove in three runs as the Monks took advantage of 14 walks to beat the Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts (2-9) at Cape Coral, Fla.

ST. JOSEPH’S 1, OHIO WESLEYAN 0: Maria Labbe drove in Lindsay Moore in the fifth inning, and Kayla Vannah and Theresa Hendrix combined on a four-hitter as the Monks (5-3) edged the Battling Bishops (4-4) at Cape Coral, Fla.

Moore led off the fifth with an infield single, stole second and scored on Labbe’s single to center.

Vannah went the first 61/3 innings before giving up a single and a walk. Hendrix came on to strike out the final two batters.

MESSIAH 5, BATES 2: Kelly McManus went 2 for 3 and made a leaping, over-the-shoulder catch in center for the Bobcats in a loss to the Falcons (9-4) at Clermont, Fla.

BATES 7, RPI 6: Alayna Garbarino scored on an error in the bottom of the seventh to give the Bobcats (2-2) a win over the Engineers (6-5) at Clermont, Fla.

Leah Maciejewski had three hits for Bates, including a tying RBI single in the sixth.
