• Russell Butts joined TD Bank as manager of stores in Lewiston and Lisbon Falls. Butts, of South Portland, has six years of banking experience. He is rejoining TD Bank, where he served as an assistant store manager in Scarborough, following a two-year stint as store manager at Bank of America in South Portland.

Dr. David Wexler joined St. Mary’s Center for Orthopaedics, 2 Great Falls Plaza, second floor, Auburn. Wexler has 23 years of experience as a surgeon. For the past 10 years, he has worked at Northern Penobscot Orthopaedics, based at Millinocket Regional Hospital.

Doug Stewart joined the company as a production assistant. Stewart was previously employed with Lincoln Press in Sanford.

Marjorie Ferris was hired as a sales manager.

Emily Paquin was hired as a content production coordinator. Paquin was previously employed with Fitzgerald Health Education in North Andover, Mass.

Jason Zecchinelli was hired as a junior analyst. Zecchinelli was previously employed with UnumProvident in South Portland.

Laura DeHaan was hired as a conference coordinator. DeHaan was previously employed with Occupational Medical Consulting in Leeds.

Mary Eshelman was named a partner at Swanson, Eshelman & Gamage, a full-service CPA firm in South Portland. Eshelman was previously a principal at Marshall & Libby LLC.

Eva Albano joined Bigelow Investment Advisors as a relationship officer. Albano has more than 25 years of experience. She most recently worked with TD Wealth Management in Portland.

Kevin Inman and Jeff LaChance were hired at Surveillance Specialties, Ltd.

Inman joined Surveillance Specialties as a senior account executive. Previously with Protection One, he has more than 10 years of experience in security system design and integration.

LaChance joined the company as a senior account executive. He has more than three years of experience in the security field. He also worked for Protection One as a security consultant.

Dr. Evan Ntrivalas joined the Foundation of Blood Research as a clinical laboratory director in January. Ntrivalas, of Cape Elizabeth, was formerly the assistant director of the Clinical Immunology Laboratory at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science, North Chicago, Ill.

PROMOTIONS

Beverly I. MacMillan was promoted to vice president, business development, at Equinox Financial & Insurance Services Inc., a subsidiary of Insurance Trust of Westbrook. She joined Insurance Trust in 2007 as an account manager.

Claire Owens was promoted to business development officer at Norway Savings Bank’s Exchange Street office in downtown Portland. Owens, of Westbrook, has more than 20 years of retail banking and outside business development experience.

Michael Hendrix was named chief financial officer at Maine Coast Memorial Hospital. Hendrix has served as controller at MCMH for the past five years. Prior to that, he served 12 years as controller at Mayo Regional Hospital and at Penobscot Valley Hospital.

Karen Milliken, a vice president who has performed research and economic analysis at R.M. Davis Inc., was named a portfolio manager. Milliken, a chartered financial analyst, has worked for R.M. Davis for 15 years. Her primary focus has been researching stocks for inclusion in client portfolios, in addition to economic forecasting and analysis.

David Pease was promoted to executive vice president, chief resource officer, at Androscoggin Bank. Pease joined the bank in 2008 and also teaches management courses at Thomas College. He has more than 23 years of human resources and training management experience.

BOARD APPOINTMENTS

John Giffune, a partner in Verrill Dana’s Litigation & Trial, Construction Law and Alternative Dispute Resolution groups, was elected president of the Cumberland Bar Association.

Giffune has been a member of the association since 2009.

Nicola Wells of Lewiston was elected to the board of trustees at Maine Public Broadcasting Network. Wells is the state director of the Maine League of Young Voters Education Fund/League of Young Voters.

AWARDS

Susan Eldridge, deputy director of Westbrook Housing, was recently recognized for 35 years of dedicated service to housing the area’s seniors and low-income residents.

Dick Begin was also recognized for his 30 years of creating and administering housing for Westbrook’s low-income and senior residents.

Mary McCarthy, a longtime Barron Center employee, was recently recognized with the Robert B. Ganley Public Service Award for her dedication and commitment to public service. McCarthy has served as director of nutritional services at the Barron Center for more than 30 years.

Frank Strout, a broker with RE/MAX Oceanside in Cape Elizabeth, earned an annual sales production award for 2011, the RE/MAX 100% Club Award. Strout has been working in the real estate industry for almost 10 years and has experience in residential and land holdings.

McClain Marketing + Interactive in Portland received seven awards in the ninth annual Service Industry Advertising Awards national competition.

The firm received gold awards for its work on the Ogunquit Playhouse/total ad campaign; Kyriba/logo letterhead design; Compass Rose Events/direct mail; and Computer Generated Solutions/magazine series.

The firm received two bronze awards (Bash Events/logo letterhead design; Ogunquit Playhouse/television); and one Merit Award (Sparhawk Group/website.)
