Ashley Belanger, Biddeford, junior thrower: Won the Class A state shot put title indoors and appears the one to beat outdoors. 

Alexis Dickinson, Brunswick, senior sprinter: Coming off an indoor season where she broke a 16-year state record in the 55-meter dash (7.22 seconds). 

Kate Hall, Lake Region, freshman sprinter/jumper: Dominated the sprints and long jump all indoor season, then won three events at the Class B state meet. 

Nicole Kirk, Scarborough, senior sprinter: Posted fast splits and medaled in three events at the Class A indoor state meet. 

Amanda Peterson, Gray-New Gloucester senior, sprinter: At the Class B state meet last year finished third in the 200-meters and was second in a fast field at the indoor state meet this winter.

Edie Pallozzi, Deering, sophomore middle distance: In the mix last outdoor season in the 1,600 meters, then moved down to the 800 indoors and was second at the Class A meet.

Sarah Perkins, Gorham, senior sprinter/hurdler: Dominated the Class A indoor state meet with three victories and three fast times. She should lead in the 300-meter hurdles outdoors. 

Charlotte Pierce, Thornton Academy, junior distance: The runner-up in the 2-mile at the Class A outdoor state championships last year, Pierce was this winter’s runner-up in the mile. 

Kirstin Sandreuter, Greely, sophomore/distance: The one to beat in the state in Class B in the distance events along with Bethany Brown of Waterville. 

Emily Tolman, Scarborough, senior jumper/sprinter: A versatile athlete who had impressive marks in the Class A indoor state meet in the long jump and 400 meters.
