Former University of Maine women’s basketball coach Joanne P. McCallie will sign copies of her new book, “Choice Not Chance: Rules for Building a Fierce Competitor,” at Books-A-Million in South Portland at 6 p.m. Friday.

The Maine Senior Games will hold a track and field day from noon to 4 p.m. June 10 at Scarborough High School. The event will give men and women ages 45 and older a chance to try out track and field events without the pressure of competition, in preparation for the state competition July 21.
