PORTLAND – Dillon Dunbar pitched a three-hitter with eight strikeouts and two walks Thursday to lead Thornton Academy to a 4-0 victory against Deering in a Telegram League baseball game.

Jack Kenney hit an RBI single for the Trojans (2-1), who took advantage of three errors and a failed pickoff attempt to score four runs in the fourth inning against the Rams (1-2).

BONNY EAGLE 10, WINDHAM 8: Matt Burnell had three singles and scored three runs as the Scots (1-2) defeated the Eagles (1-2) at Standish.

Windham, led by Matt McLean with a three-run triple, held a 7-4 lead in the top of the fourth.

SOUTH PORTLAND 6, KENNEBUNK 1: Matt DiBiase hit a two-run single in a three-run seventh inning as the Red Riots (1-2) pulled away from the Rams (0-3) at Kennebunk.

South Portland, led by Brendan Horton with two hits and an RBI, held a 2-1 lead in the fourth.

Zac Marles had eight strikeouts and two walks in six innings for the Red Riots.

WESTBROOK 6, MASSABESIC 2: Sam Stauble’s bases-loaded single down the first-base line gave the Blue Blazes (3-0) a 2-1 seventh-inning lead over the Mustangs (1-2) at Waterboro.

Stauble scored on Michael Roux’s two-run single as Westbrook added four runs in the inning to take a 6-1 lead.

SCARBOROUGH 10, SANFORD 0: Connor McCann’s two-run single in the bottom of the sixth invoked the mercy rule as the Red Storm (3-0) beat the Redskins (1-2) at Scarborough.

Brendan Hall led the Red Storm with four hits, two RBI and two runs. Jayme Lappin struck out six over five innings, limiting Sanford to three hits.

GORHAM 2, BIDDEFORD 1: Alex Yankowsky and Nick Greatorex scored unearned runs in the seventh inning to nudge the Rams (3-0) past Biddeford (1-2) at Gorham.

Yankowsky started the winning rally with a double and went to third when Greatorex reached on a two-base error. After an intentional walk, both scored when a grounder was misplayed.

GREELY 7, FRYEBURG ACADEMY 2: Mike Leeman allowed four hits and no earned runs in six innings as Greely (3-0) beat the Raiders (2-1) at Fryeburg.

The Rangers took a 4-0 lead on RBI singles by Will McAdoo and Luke Saffian in the fourth.

NOBLE 5, PORTLAND 1: Brett Burke pitched a six-hitter with seven strikeouts as the Knights (2-1) beat the Bulldogs (0-3) at North Berwick.

David Arlin had a single with one RBI and two runs for Noble.

LACROSSE

BONNY EAGLE 9, LAKE REGION 8: Ryan Cannell scored six goals, including the winner, as the Scots (3-1) edged the Lakers (1-2) in overtime at Standish.

Nate Hopkins chipped in with two assists.
