CAPE ELIZABETH – Will LeBlond struck out 10 and walked three while pitching a four-hitter to lead Cape Elizabeth to a 7-1 win over Gray-New Gloucester in a Western Maine Conference baseball game Friday.

Seth Dobieski and Chad Peterson had two hits apiece for the Capers (2-1), who took advantage of six Gray-New Gloucester errors. Cape scored two runs in the first and added three in the third for a 5-0 lead.

Tim Lerette paced the Patriots (2-1) with three hits.

YORK 8, TRAIP ACADEMY 0: Adam Bailey struck out 11 and walked four while throwing a two-hitter, and also had a pair of hits and drove in three runs as the Wildcats (1-3) beat the Rangers (1-3) at York.

Zach Leal added three hits, two RBI and three runs scored for York, which opened a 4-0 lead in the first inning.

WELLS 8, SACOPEE VALLEY 5: The Warriors (3-1) went ahead for good with a five-run second inning against the Hawks (1-3) at South Hiram.

Douglas McLean and Kevin Woods each hit two singles for Wells. Reliever Paul McDonough struck out the side in the seventh inning for the save after the first two batters reached safely.

Anthony Haskell reached base three times and had an RBI and a run scored for Sacopee.

YARMOUTH 13, OLD ORCHARD BEACH 0: Bryce Snyder went 3 for 4 with a double, a triple and four RBI, and Chester Jacobs pitched five scoreless innings as the Clippers (2-2) cruised to a six-inning win over the Seagulls (1-3) at Old Orchard Beach.

LACROSSE

BRUNSWICK 7, LEWISTON 6: Alex Cratti’s third goal, an outside sweeping shot with 2:42 remaining, gave the Dragons (4-0) a win over the Blue Devils (2-2) at Brunswick.

Cameron Glover also scored three goals. Brandon Tiner had five goals for Lewiston.

WESTBROOK 14, LAKE REGION 1: Austin Watts finished with five goals and two assists to lead the Blue Blazes (1-3) past the Lakers (1-3) at Westbrook.

Alex Benson scored four goals, and Sam Carroll added three goals and an assist for Westbrook. Ryan Skillern had the lone goal for Lake Region.
