HARRISON, Maine — One person is dead and another is critically injured after a crash between a car and a loaded logging truck in Harrison, Maine.

Police say the driver of the car was killed and a passenger in the vehicle was taken by helicopter to a hospital in critical condition on Wednesday afternoon.

WMTW-TV reports that the driver of the logging truck was not hurt.

Police say a witness reported that the car may have swerved into the oncoming lane.

Part of Route 117 is expected to remain closed for several hours on Wednesday.
