BRUNSWICK – Forrest Chadwick had three hits and scored three runs to lead the University of Southern Maine to a 13-9 baseball victory over Bowdoin on Thursday.

The teams were even through five innings at 8-8. The Huskies (21-16) took the lead for good in the sixth when Tucker White singled home Matt Powers. A wild throw during a rundown allowed Jake Glauser to score, giving the Huskies a 10-8 lead. Bowdoin (21-15) got one run back in the bottom of the inning, but USM retained the lead the rest of the way.

UNE 11, SALVE REGINA 0: Adrienne Chase was 3 for 4 with a double and four RBI and Kelly Reid pitched a three-hitter to lead the third-seeded Nor’easters (25-12) past the top-seeded Seahawks (23-15) in a Commonwealth Coast Conference tournament game at Newport, R.I.

UNE is the only remaining unbeaten team in the tournament.
