SANFORD — The Sanford Police Department is calling on the public to help locate a potentially violent suspect.
Detective Sgt. Matthew Jones said the department is trying to locate 27-year-old Raymond Johnson. Johnson has a prominent tattoo with the name “Alexia” on his neck.

Johnson has allegedly made threats of violence toward the police and continues to terrorize a female victim, according to Jones.
Sanford Police have outstanding warrants charging Johnson with robbery, domestic violence assault, and domestic violence stalking.
Police say Johnson could be armed and should be considered dangerous. The public is being asked to use caution and to call 911 to report any sightings of the suspect.
The public may also contact the Sanford Regional Communications Center at 324-9170 with information as to his whereabouts.
Johnson is described as 6 feet tall and 170 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes.
